TINCAN MOTO CAMP

THE CAMP

A place to pitch a tent, park the bike, and take a breath between rides. Built for moto riders, with rider-friendly owners. Not riding? Non-riders are welcome to park and pitch a tent too.

To keep things running smoothly for everyone and to protect our mountain property, please look over our camp guidelines.

YOUR CAMPSITE

  • Bring your own tent. This is a traditional pitch-your-own-tent campground. Make sure your gear is secure.
  • Water at your site. Every campsite has 5 gallons of water and a wash bin.
  • Check in and out. Check in from 2:00 PM. Check out by 11:00 AM.

OUR CABIN AND MORNING COFFEE

  • We live here. Half of our 40 ft shipping container is our cabin. We live in it while we look after the property, so one of us is always close by.
  • Coffee every morning. Drip coffee is always on in the mornings at our cabin window, with cream and sugar, served in tin cans.
  • Leave your can. When you head out, drop your tin can at the can return spot by the window.
  • Weekend breakfast. A full breakfast on weekend mornings before you hit the pavement.

THE TOOLBOX

  • The other half. The other half of the container is the Toolbox, our tool shed. Its doors are on the end, like any shipping container.
  • Access. Use it for tune-ups, tire air, small tweaks, or a quick weld. It is locked with a code you get at check-in.
  • Charge up. You can charge your phone up at the container.
  • Honor system. We ask for a $10 donation in the tin can to help keep the tools in good shape.
  • Respect the gear. Put every tool back exactly where you found it and lock up when you are done.

THE BATHHOUSES

  • Toilet and shower. Each bathhouse has a toilet and a hot shower.
  • Short showers. Hot showers are available, but we run on a water cistern. Please keep showers short and sweet!
  • Bio soap only. Use our complimentary, earth-friendly bio soap.
  • Towels. This is a bring-your-own-towel campground.
  • Composting toilets. Please cover your leavings completely with the sawdust provided. Thank you!

FIREWOOD AND CAMPFIRES

  • Free firewood. Firewood is provided free for our guests.
  • Fire rings only. Campfires stay in the official fire rings on site.
  • Put it out. Douse your fire completely with water before heading to bed.

RIDE AND BIKE ETIQUETTE

  • Be kind with noise. No rules against cranking your bike here! If you arrive late or leave early, just be kind to the other campers.
  • 5 MPH. Keep it under 5 MPH once you are off the main road.
  • Kickstand plates. Use a coaster or puck under your stand on grass or gravel so it does not sink.

TIN CAN TALK

TWO WHEELS, ONE TIN CAN, ZERO WORRIES.

A TIN ROOF FOR YOUR RIDE

Park your iron horse next to our tin cans. We keep the rain off your chrome and the dirt off your tent.

THE TOOLBOX

A shipping container full of tools, because we know your buddy forgot his 10mm. Drop a tenner in the honor box, fix your ride, and pretend you know what you are doing.

COFFEE IN A CAN

Drip coffee is always on in the mornings at our cabin window, with cream and sugar, served in tin cans, because ceramic is for civilians. Leave your can at the return spot when you ride out.

Where your bike gets a roof, your hands get a wrench, and your coffee comes in a can.
